German Reunion 1989
In November 1989 I was assigned to report on the fall of the Iron Curtain between West and East Germany. On a Sunday afternoon, a hole was opened in The Wall where it separated the towns of Heinersdorf (West Germany) and Weilach (East Germany) and for the first time in more than 29 years, families and friends strolled freely together between the two country villages.
